Daniel Paquette supports the strengthening of commercial relations between Mauritius and Canada. His advisory contribution focuses on market analysis, opportunity identification and practical strategies that can stimulate bilateral trade and investment.
Zaahirah Atchia is a business development and economic diplomacy strategist specializing in institutional partnerships and market development between Canada, Africa, and the Indian Ocean region.
As Founder of Atchia Strategic Advisory, she advises public and private sector organizations on growth strategy, business development, and government relations. She also serves as Special Advisor, Business Development and Francophone Engagement, to the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce, where she led the strategic development of the inaugural Canada–Senegal Economic Forum, drafted the memorandum of understanding between the Chamber and the Embassy of the Republic of Senegal, and contributes to initiatives supported by Global Affairs Canada.
Previously, she became the first person from a diverse background to lead CBC/Radio-Canada's French Services in Ontario, providing strategic leadership for the Ontario network while overseeing the organization's national Equity, Diversity and Inclusion mandate for Regional Media.
Originally from Mauritius and fluent in English and French, Zaahirah Atchia serves as Vice-President, Business Development, of Canada Mauritius Trade and Investment Venture and is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Canada Morocco Economic Chamber.
